However, any fisherman, whether Captain or crew may fish on more than one boat as many days of competition as he/she chooses.

The Far Out Shoot out is geared toward the small Gulf Stream boater with average boat sizes typically between 25 - 32ft. The Far Out Shoot Out provides Gulf Stream fishermen the opportunity to work with other local Captains to improve techniques as well as add the comfort of having friends around while fishing offshore. The tournament is highlighted by the traditionally excellent Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, and Dolphin fishing.
ATTENTION NOVICE GULF STREAM FISHERMEN- This is an excellent chance to learn more about Gulf Stream chartering as you will have opportunity to mix and mingle with many of the area's top offshore fishermen. In addition, you'll have plenty of company for the long ride offshore to help insure your safety and give piece of mind.

- There is no checkout... BUT, there are boundaries..
Fishermen can fish out of any port they choose within boundaries so as long as their lines are not in the water before 7:00am and they are in weight-in line by 5:00pm. This means easy fishing while always keeping on an even playing field.
- It is family oriented...
The Jolly Mon recognizes the importance of the family and fishing and offers a complimentary dinner for everyone and medallions for all Junior anglers participating in the event. The Jolly Mon is run in an orderly, clean-cut manner.
